Stars Assign Francis Wathier to Texas (AHL)

FRISCO, Texas – The Dallas Stars announced today that the club has assigned forward Francis Wathier to the Texas Stars, Dallas’ development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Wathier, 28, has earned 14 points (2G-12A) and 64 penalty minutes in 44 games for Texas this season. Over the course of his AHL career, he has 170 points (80G-90A) and 585 penalty minutes in 427 games. The St. Isidore, Ont. native has skated in nine NHL contests, most recently on Jan. 16, 2012 against the St. Louis Blues. The 6-foot-4, 210-pound forward was Dallas’ sixth-round selection (185th overall) at the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.
