Stars Assign Cristopher Nilstorp to Texas (AHL)

The Dallas Stars announced today that the club has assigned goaltender Cristopher Nilstorp to the Texas Stars, Dallas' development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL). Nilstorp is scheduled to play in tonight's game at San Antonio.

Nilstorp, 29, has an 18-11-5 record in 36 appearances for Texas this season. The 6-foot-4 goaltender ranks ninth in the AHL with a 2.26 goals against average (GAA), and has earned a .909 save percentage (SV%) with four shutouts in 2012-13. He has a 1-3-1 record with a .897 SV% and a 3.09 GAA in five appearances for Dallas this season. The Malmo, Sweden native helped Farjestad BK capture the Le Mat Trophy in 2011, which is earned annually by the victors in the Swedish Elite League playoffs. Nilstorp went undrafted and was signed by Dallas as a free agent on June 5, 2012.
