Stars Acquire Shane Endicott from Anaheim

FRISCO, Tex. - Dallas Stars General Manager Doug Armstrong announced today that the club has acquired center Shane Endicott (ehn-DIH-kawt) from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for future considerations. The Stars also assigned Endicott to Iowa, Dallas' primary development affiliate in the American Hockey League (AHL).

Endicott, 25, has appeared in 35 total games this season with Milwaukee and Portland of the American Hockey League (AHL), notching two goals and four assists for six points with 22 penalty minutes. The 6-3, 214-pound center was acquired by Anaheim from Nashville on January 26 in exchange for Chris Durno.

Pittsburgh's second round selection (52nd overall) in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft, Endicott has played in 45 career NHL games with the Penguins posting three points (1-2-3) with 47 penalty minutes. In 2005-06 with Pittsburgh, he appeared in 41 games and tallied two points (1-1-2) with 43 penalty minutes.

The Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, native has played in 327 career AHL games, collecting 75 goals and 97 assists for 172 points with 297 penalty minutes. His most productive offensive AHL season came in 2004-05 with Wilkes-Barre when he registered 24 goals and 23 assists for 47 points in 68 contests.

Mannnnnn......the Stanley Cup is ABSOLUTELY going through Dallas now.

WTF? Shane Endicott? I assume this is a move to re-stock depth in Iowa due to injuries, call ups, etc.

I feel bad for Dallas/Iowa. This guy is the most useless player I've seen. His nickname that I coined for him in Milwaukee was "Endopot"...
Seriously, if you've ever heard an interview or seen him play the dude plays like he's chiefed. I don't mind that... but not when you're a sh-tty hockey player.
