Simon signs in Europe

According to article Chris Simon signed a one year deal with Vitiaz Chehov. GM there is Alexei Zhamnov.

There is also rumours, that Andrei Nazarov (coach of Chelabinsk Traktor) is trying to sign one of the best NHL enforcers at the moment.

What the hell is he going to do over there? Do they even fight over there? i know they're not signing him for his hockey prowess.

My lack of god! Andrei Nazarov- a coach? That's got to be one messed-up, disorganized team.

Season before Reid Simpson played there. Looks like Zhamnov loves to have enforcer on his team.

I just wonder after who Nazarov is after.

The Russians were said to be looking to make their game over there a bit tougher, maybe this is another step in that direction. I know a lot of his NHL fans weren't happy with his enforcing performance as of late, but he can fill that role very, very well for a Russian team I'm sure. Interesting news.

That kinda sucks.

I knew he wouldnt be with Minnesota next year, but I would have still liked to see him somewhere in the NHL.

Maybe he signed in Europe cause he couldnt get a deal with any teams in the NHL??

Sad to see, you had to figure he was done in the NHL tho.

I didn't see him being in the NHL next year, but I'm surprised he hopped the pond.

Hopefully Naz signs Laraque, so he can take his hockey skills away to Russia where they are appreciated.

If the russians are going to use enforcers they should get rid of the 20+5 minute penalty for fighting.
