Giroux got hit by a knee from behind, the helmet did little to absorb the blow. A better lid would have helped.

Erm Pronger got hit in the face with a stick and Giroux got knee'd in the back of the head.

Yeah as doc said, a better lid would've helped Giroux. I thought Pronger got hit into the boards earlier in that game and his head hit the glass, then the stick, no?

I'm not really sure the whole fiasco with him is pretty vague he had an eye injury then a virus then a knee injury and finally a concussion. I'd just assumed it was because of the stick.
