Said it was a collision with David Krejci that may have caused it. Damn, this just sucks, and not from a hockey standpoint. Whether you like him or not, no one should want to see a talented player's career cut short because of injury. And I agree with Waddubin that he should have waited until after the new year to come back. He would have been better off for it.

Sid is done. This isn't something that will miraculously heal, every time he gets even the slightest head shot he'll be right back to square one. Ask Pat Lafontaine. Tragic but true.

Yeah, if you suffer from post-concussion symptons over a play like that, you're toast... well, probably not - you could probably hold out 2/3 years when there's no more hitting, then you're good.

Eric Lindros and Keith Primeau would also agree. Crosby is close to the point where sneezing can give him a concussion. He's not coming back from a brain of mush. The game survived without him before..it will survive without him now.

Its unfortunate if true,that Crosbys career would end because of concussions. He's certainly not the first though. So many,from LaFontaine,Lindros,M.Savard,etc. Once someones had the first major one,the following ones come far more easily and frequent. The Krecji bump on Sid looked like a common every game play. I figured he recieved it when he collided with his own player. He laboured to get off the ice after that. I hope he can come back from this,because he is a hell of a talent.
