Sharks Sign Freddie Hamilton To Entry-Level Contract

SAN JOSE - San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the team has signed forward Freddie Hamilton to an entry-level contract. In keeping with club policy, financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Hamilton recently finished his third season with the Niagara Ice Dogs of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), finishing second on the team in goals (38), assists (45) and points (83) while playing in all of the team’s 68 games. He added 7 game-winning goals (T-9th OHL) and was a + 25.

In the OHL playoffs, Hamilton posted 14 points (four goals, 10 assists) in 14 games.

Hamilton was originally selected by San Jose in the fifth round (129th overall) of the 2010 NHL Entry Draft.
