Sharks Sign Frazer McLaren to One-Year Deal

San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has re-signed Group II restricted free agent forward Frazer McLaren to a one-year contract.

McLaren, 23, posted 22 penalty minutes in nine games for San Jose in 2010-11. In 32 career NHL games, all with San Jose, he has six points (1-5=6), 76 penalty minutes and has a +5 plus/minus rating. With Worcester (AHL), he added four points (2-2=4) and 71 penalty minutes in 40 games played.

The six-foot-five, 250-pound left wing was selected by San Jose in the seventh round (203rd overall) of the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.
