yeah there only 2 i would worrie about is boogard and ivanans idk how to spell his name the dude for the kings... other than that clowe can hold his own... parrose is overrated and a huge *****...godard who knows where hes playin next year and if he even gets back into the nhl

we should trade for ORR haha!

Once again, you're getting way too ahead of yourself just like in the other Sharks thread.

1.) Clowe is huge? Um, not exactly. 6'2'' 220 is big, but not humongous.

2.) Clowe is NOT a heavyweight! He's a middleweight/light heavy. That's ALL he is. If he fought the heavyweights he would get destroyed. So start looking in reality here: Clowe is not a heavyweight.

3.) Murray will be the #6 d-man. Davison is a healthy scratch.

4.) They already did get a heavyweight. His name is Brad Norton. But he won't play in the NHL - he will be in Worcester, so the Sharks WON'T have a heavy in 07-08.

One word: Wow...

If you think Clowe is supposed to handle the heavys, then you have a lot more to worry about than Boogaard and Ivanans. Clowe would get destroyed by any heavy in the league.

So really, just stop with this "Clowe is a heavy stuff".

And BTW, you're not getting Colton Orr either.

You guys won't have to worry about the Coyotes. Davison and Murray combine for a 5-0 record for the past two year against them.

Davison 3-0 wins over Jackman, Scatchard and Gratton

Murray 2-0 wins over Doan and Gratton

but you guys do need a enforcer for LA and Anaheim

Please tell me how you, a Blues fan, would know this already.

1.) I've heard from many Sharks fans that Murray will start ahead of him.

2.) Murray seems like a better fit for the Sharks on defense. Tougher, bigger hitter, etc.

The only things Murray is better than Davison at is he's a better hitter and he has a better shot, that's it. Davison is tougher, better on defense, faster, and doesn't get caught out of position as much as Murray does. I'm sure you don't remember, but Davison actually used to be a good 5/6 defenseman until he got replaced by young guys. Murray has not automatically won this spot like you're saying he has.

Ryan Clowe would get destroyed by the heavies? He didnt get destroyed by Riley Cote, Sean McMorrow, Peter Vandermeer, Shawn Thornton, or Jim Vandermeer..

I consider most of them players heavyweights, and I honestly think Clowe can hang with the best of them..

I wouldnt mark that down as a guarantee. Davison is better all around at this time, so I don't think its clear yet who their 6th defender is.

As far as Clowe goes, I think some people are missing the point. Whether he can handle the heavyweights or not, his role is more power forward than enforcer. I don't think the Sharks want a guy who had 34 pts. in 58 games last year fighting the likes of Parros, Boogaard, or any of those guys who only fight.

Eric Godard signed a deal with Calgary last week. Parros is only overrated in the eyes of some posters. A lot of people dont have him in the top 10. The Rangers wouldnt trade Orr unless the got something decent for him, an enforcer of equal or greater skill, or a 2nd or 3rd line player.

Norton has been on so many teams. Correct me if I am wrong but wasnt it him last year who said if he plays in the AHL one more year, he would retire? Guess he didnt lol. Good signings by the Sharks. Their AHL team is going to be tough, along with a lot of others this year. The AHL is looking like the league to watch lol.

Good tough signing by SJ,

Now if they only had an "AHL Center Ice" package! I'd bet money they would sell equal or better than the "NHL Center Ice" package.

clowe can hang with the heavys. and even if we get a big name heavy. i still think hell have 7+ fight season agian. and step up for marleu and cheech... when needed.

but i have no problem if clowe and rob davison our our 2 main enforers...
clowe is 6'2 220... idc what you say hes big
