Sharks Recall Matt Pelech
SAN JOSE - San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled right wing Matt Pelech from the Worcester Sharks, the team's top development affiliate in the American Hockey League.
Pelech, 25, is third in the American Hockey League in penalty minutes (177). In 34 games, he has posted four assists and 29 shots. He began the season as a defenseman and was converted to right wing in January.
In five career NHL games with Calgary, Pelech has posted three points (0-3=3). He posted an assist in each of his last two games at the NHL level on April 10, 2009 at Edmonton and on April 11, 2009 vs. Edmonton.
The six-foot-four, 235-pound native of Toronto, Ontario was originally selected in the first round (26th overall) by the Calgary Flames in the 2005 NHL Draft. He was signed by San Jose as a free agent on July 6, 2011.

If you haven't made an impact late in a game, if you haven't blocked a shot, made a big hit, had a goal, you'd better grab someone and fight someone to make sure everybody in that building knew you played that night."
