Sharks recall Derek Joslin from Worcester, place Rob Blake on IR
SAN JOSE - San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Derek Joslin from the Worcester Sharks, the team's top development affiliate in the American Hockey League.
Joslin, 22, is tied for second in scoring among Worcester defensemen with five points (0-55) in ten games, along with six penalty minutes. He appeared in two games with San Jose this season, posting two penalty minutes and a +2 rating. The six-foot-one, 210-pound native of Richmond, Ontario was originally selected by San Jose in the fifth round (149th overall) of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. In a related move, the team placed defenseman Rob Blake on injured reserve with an upper body injury.
