Sharks Recall Brad Staubitz

SAN JOSE, Calif. – San Jose Sharks Executive Vice President and General Manager Doug Wilson announced today that the club has recalled forward Brad Staubitz from the Worcester Sharks, the team’s top development affiliate in the American Hockey League.

Staubitz has played in one game with Worcester this season, posting two penalty minutes.

He was originally signed by San Jose as a free agent on Sept. 19, 2005.

Is he going to play tonight?

He fought both Sutherby and May in the preseason, so perhaps another go tonight for him against the Ducks?

It's about time that he got his cup of coffee with the big club. Besides being a solid middleweight that will take on all comers, he's really developed into a decent defenseman.

Now this is a pleasant surprise. Would love to see him suit up against the Ducks tonight.

Staubitz switched to forward mid-season last year and has played there ever since.
