Senators Recall Robin Lehner; Assign Stephane Da Costa to Binghamton (AHL)

OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators announced today they have recalled goaltender Robin Lehner and re-assigned forward Stephane Da Costa to the club’s American Hockey League affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.

Lehner, 21, served as Craig Anderson’s back-up in each of Ottawa’s first two games this season. In 31 AHL contests in 2012-13, he has established a new professional career high with 18 wins and currently leads AHL goaltenders in save percentage (0.938%) while ranking fourth in goals-against-average (2.12). He participated in his first AHL All-Star Classic last month in Providence, R.I.

Da Costa, 23, was recalled by the Senators on Feb. 3, and has recorded two points (one goal, one assist) over nine NHL games with Ottawa this season. He has registered 24 points (nine goals, 15 assists) and 10 penalty minutes in 31 AHL contests with Binghamton in 2012-13.
