Senators Recall Danny Bois from Binghamton

OTTAWA - The Ottawa Senators today recalled right-winger Danny Bois from the American Hockey League's Binghamton Senators on an emergency basis to play in his first NHL game tonight against the Washington Capitals at the Verizon Center. He will replace captain Daniel Alfredsson, who suffered a lower body injury in the Senators 4-2 win over the New York Islanders on Tuesday.

Bois, a 23-year-old native of Thunder Bay, Ont., has eight goals, five assists and 36 penalty minutes over 17 games with Binghamton this season. He has nine points (6 goals and 3 assists) in the last eight games. Bois missed six games because of a face laceration.

After a four-year junior career with the Ontario Hockey League’s London Knights, Bois signed with the Senators as a free agent in April 2004. In three professional seasons in Ottawa’s organization, he has 68 points (42 goals and 26 assists) and 547 penalty minutes over 168 AHL games. He was originally drafted by Colorado in the third round, 97th overall, in the 2001 NHL draft.

First NHL game..maybe he'll ask Brash to dance. You never know. Him and Erskine could be a good one.

He hasn't been as active as before in AHL this season, focusing on playing more. Which probably resulted in this call-up.
But he's be the in your-face guy in NHL.

He won't fight Erskine or Brash. A middleweight, perhaps Chris Clark or Sutherby.

If Bois fights Erskine or Brashear he'll make a grand exit in his first NHL game on a stretcher.

Maybe vs Brash, but he could hold his own against Erskine. Erskine wins more often than not, don't get me wrong, but it's not as lopsided as you make it sound. However you did give me a good chuckle with the way you worded that in addition to the visual when I pictured it. Not that him getting hurt would be funny, but I think you know what I mean.

Good that the Sens are calling up some toughness.

Bois seemed content to just hug once Brash started throwing. Hopfully he opens up against some of the lesser fighters.

Brashear beat your favorite fighter. Undisputed top 5 all time.

They fought, and that didn't happen. Bois held his own...

Bois did indeed hold his own and it was Brashear who went into the deathgrip, and Erskine got blasted by McGrattan.
