OTTAWA – Ottawa Senators
general manager Bryan Murray announced today the club has signed right-winger Erik Condra to an entry-level contract.
Condra, 22, was Ottawa’s seventh-round pick (211th overall) in the 2006 National Hockey League entry draft. The native of Trenton, Mich., recently completed his fourth season with the NCAA’s Notre Dame Fighting Irish, scoring 13 goals and adding 25 assists for a team-leading 38 points. Notre Dame was ranked among the top three schools since January, but lost to Bemidji State in the Midwest Regional semi-finals.
Condra led Notre Dame in scoring in each of his four seasons, scoring 48 goals while adding 110 assists for 158 points in 159 career games. The 6-0, 188-pound forward finished his collegiate career 13th on Notre Dame’s all-time point scoring list (158), and seventh all-time in assists (110). The right-winger has participated in the Senators’ annual development camp in each of the last three seasons and this year.
