Terrible move by the league. A game that probably would have gotten a decent amount of interest based on the talking leading up to it will now has no intrigue. Avery is an asshat, no question about it. But his comments are not suspension-worthy. Fine the f*cker if you really want to, but keep him in the game.

This is lame, Gary must be pissed about what Avery said about him not marketing players like himself better. I can't believe he got suspended for the game, they just threw away a great opportunity for viewers to tune into what would have been a good game maybe getting nasty.

I was hoping someone would be gunning for Avery, Bettman is ruining the NHL more and more everyday. What a joke this once great league has become, I used to watch every game I could 10 years ago and now I don't care if I watch any of the games unless the Flyers or a select few other teams are playing.
