What realy pisses me off about it is that somehow the mainstream media is calling him one of the leage tough guys and an enforcer and nothing cound be farther from the truth!!!!!! Avery is and always will be a little B*TCH!!!!!

no self respecting person would put a Leafs Avatar and state they live in HANMER Ontario (i know where it is, seeing as it is just outside of Sudbury where i live). More than that, it gives some much needed exposure to the NHL (even if it's bad in the eyes of the NHL).. People I know are talking about Avery/NHL and they are NOT hockey fans. We need more characters like him in the last place NHL.. Manny will be Manny, Avery will be Avery...

Can it really actually get any worse? Hell he may actually get the insigator removed all on his own. Guys who have been known to be for the rule have suggested the league may get rid of it just based on Sean Avery alone.

What I am finding interesting this past day is the beat writers for other sports who have wrote articals saying how the league has went way overboard on there reaction to this event. One guy talks about how until this past week he hasn't seen hockey headline the sports column the way it has and for such a minor thing compred to what the other major sports have going on with there athletes. I mean it is quite hard to even compare hockey players to the players of the NBA or NFL just based on there ways of life but in all reality even though he should have never said what he did, it is quite minor compared to other major sports.

What I would love to see is what would everyones reaction be had the shoe been on the other foot? Can anyone honestly say they think the reaction to this would be treated the same had Dion or Jerome made this comment givin the same circumstances. Is there anyone out there who truly thinks that there had not been previous conversation or that it at some point in all the trash talking somone off the Flames would not have brought up the topic on the ice or off that Dion was more of a man then Avery and that he stole his girlfriend?

If you really take a look at the whole event it does look quite childish on everyone's part.

Yeah only sports with the majority of black players would shoot each other over a women. That is absurd! I can say all these shootings were by young black jealous individuals looking for trouble, not the athletes shooting each other (besides Plaxico shooting himself LOL).. Most NBA and NFL players never grew up on farms get it?

It would not be the same if this was the case IMO (not that I am OK with it), the NHL would be more split on it.. Good point Corpse
