San Jose Signs Thomas Heemskerk To An Entry-Level Contract

For Thomas Heemskerk, just receiving an invitation to attend rookie camp with the NHL’s San Jose Sharks was a dream in itself.

No one, including Heemskerk himself, expected his performance to blow the Sharks away. But Tuesday revealed just how impressed the Sharks were.

The Everett Silvertips goaltender became NHL property when he signed an entry-level deal with the Sharks, the teams announced Tuesday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
