I like this move. Kalinin is out for at least a month and Sekera is clearly not ready for the bigs. Pratt probably came reasonably cheap and is a veteran with a few Cup rings. Also he may actually throw a few hits, which is basically a foreign concept to the D-men they put out right now, maybe even rarely drop the gloves if the situation calls for it. All I ask is a little effort and emotion. Once everyone is healthy he will probably ride the pine with Peters and/or Michael Ryan but for now he should do. What I would like to know is if he is ready to play right away or if he will be sent on a conditioning assignment... personally I hope he's ready to go against Florida tomorrow because Sekera is dying out there.

I want to see how this guy does for us....hopefully he gets into a few fights. We need a tuff D-man even if it's Pratt... it's better than what we had.
