Sabres Recall Adam Pardy

BUFFALO, N.Y. --- Buffalo Sabres General Manager Darcy Regier today announced that defenseman Adam Pardy has been recalled from the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League.

Pardy (3/29/84, 6'4", 226 lbs) will join the Sabres for the first time this season after recording three points (1+2) and a plus-3 rating in five AHL games with the Americans. The Bonavista, Newfoundland native was acquired from the Dallas Stars with forward Steve Ott on July 2. In four NHL seasons, Pardy has recorded 29 points (4+25) and 157 penalty minutes in 183 games with the Calgary Flames and Dallas Stars.

I think he should be up based on his play, not because of injuries. I hope he plays so good that Regier is forced to make room for him in Buffalo and trade one of the under-performing dmen (Leopold and Regher even though he is hurt). Buffalo has good depth at the blueline.

Yeah I agree. Ruff hasn't hide the fact he's not impressed with how the defensemen have be playing. More players trying to get in the lineup will hopefully lead to more competiveness from the Sabres.
