Sabres Reassign Eight
Buffalo Sabres General Manager Darcy Regier announced today the team has assigned six players to the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League. Forwards Philip Gogulla and Feliz Schutz were also returned to their DEL clubs in Germany. This leaves the Sabres with 28 players still in training camp.
Heading to Rochester are forwards Dylan Hunter and Patrick Kaleta; defensemen Mike Card, Marc-Andre Gragnani and Mike Weber; and goaltender Adam Dennis. |

Damn. I was hoping Kaleta would make the team this year and be up in the NHL the whole season.... guess not. That sucks. The guy is a viscious hitter and may have been the best in the NHL.... he would have been an exciting player to watch - that's for sure. But let's hope he still gets called up at some point during the season like he did last year.... there's always a chance for that to happen.

Rochester plays Syracuse at Oswego State College Sunday. I am sure Columbus has sent word down to hit, hit ,hit and hit Kaleta. Syracuse is loaded with tough players and Rochester has ????????? . I bet they scratch Kaleta for his own safety.
