Sabres Agree to Terms with Andrew Peters
Buffalo Sabres General Manager Darcy Regier announced today the Sabres have agreed to terms on a one-year deal with restricted free agent Andrew Peters.

The 6'4", 247 lbs. left wing from St. Catharines, Ontario appeared in 28 games for the Sabres. Peters led the team in penalty minutes for the second straight season, collecting 100.

Peters, Buffalo's second round selection (34th overall) in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft has appeared in 70 regular season games, collecting two points (2+0) and 251 PIM.

Glad to hear it. While last year may not have been his best, my recently accquired tapes that cover his nhl career (incl. preseason/ training camp) show a monster. I never liked the guy off what i had read (steroids?) but the tapes show a guy with all the tools to be a true "title" threat and a classy fighter to boot.

Good signing, hope he plays, dominates and fights Macgrattan 5-6 times next year!!!!

Nice to see some teams still actually have a clue. Now frikkin play the guy more that 20 games Lindy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good signing. Maybe they will play him some more this year, but at least they realize that you still need an enforcer in this league.
