Report: Penguins offer Malkin to Kings

Quote:
Perhaps the most stunning thing about what is the biggest hockey news of the morning is that it's not about teams seeking to acquire Evgeni Malkin from the Pittsburgh Penguins. It's about GM Ray Shero actively shopping the player some consider to be potentially the best in hockey

Not sure how accurate this is, but if you put this together this is a very lucrative deal I think. LA gets a proven young offensive force for a draft pick that may tumble and cami.

If I was a Pens fan, I would be throwing sh!t around. This guy actually played with some balls (compared to that pu$$y Crosby)

I thik Malkin is the main reason for the pens even had a shot in the playoffs. When sindey was out, he put the whole team on his back and carried them

I still think these are all weak rumors. People knowing something is going to have to give in Pittsburgh. I don't care how well he played next to Crosby, Hossa is NOT worth 8 mill. Malkin got that team into the playoffs by putting them on his back when the going got tough. I don't think he'll get dealt.

No he didn't. He phoned it in after Richards hit him.

Doesn't matter Malkin will sign an extension soon.

I can't believe that Pens are actually considering giving up Malkin to keep Hossa.
It's insane, Malkin is a future superstar and has already proven he can carry the team alone.
Sure Hossa is a fine player, but IMO he can't be compared with Malkin.

First of all, I doubt this is true. To me, the Pens should ask for more than that in return for Malkin, who has turned into one of the best players in the league. If it's true, the Kings would be crazy to turn it down, but I think this rumor is pure bull****. So Kings fans shouldn't get their hopes up too high.

Yeah, something has to give on the Pens sooner or later with all of these talented players demanding big bucks, but they would be better off letting Orpik and Hossa go and keeping Malkin. I don't know why they would trade him this quickly. Maybe in the future, but now? No way this has any merit to it, I say.

Bruce Garrioch also reported this too and he isn't the most credible source either, so I'm just not buying it. Too good to be true for Kings fans.

Well, aren't fans of every team hoping the Pens will offer Malkin to their team?

So we're all in the same boat.

But you have to realize that the Pens would demand a lot, and I'm not even buying this Kings rumor.

What would Columbus give up? It would take a fortune from you guys. And no, your first-rounder and Nikolai Zherdev would NOT cut it. That's the proposal I see from pretty much every Columbus fan while discussing a trade for a big-named player. You'd have to add in a lot more.

Being the the Pens are having cap problems Im leaning more towrd a bunch of loot and alot of future draft picks.

But on a better note could you imagine him on the same line as Sakic,Hejduk or Forsberg? That would be realy sweet!!

He was an evn biger pus$y than Sid. He was dirty as Hell, he played with no heart, at least after MR drilled him as Thrill stated, he payed like a spoiled rbat the rest of the way, and on top of all of this, he dissed one of the msot profound traditions of the NHL playoffs, he shaved. At least sid showed effort...

Send him to the West, I hate that dirty little prick.

Look at all these rumors surroundin’ me every day
I just need some time, some time to get away from
From all these rumors, I can’t take it no more
My best friend said there’s one out now about me and the girl next door

This rumor is even worse then the last one. Malkin isnt going anywhere unless he demands it.

This is playing with balls?
YouTube - Malkin slew-foots Mara, Jagr scores;...

I'm sorry but there is nothing more gutless than slewfooting somebody twice on one shift and then hiding behind your visor when its time to answer the bell. And lets not forget that embarassment of a penalty shot against Lundqvist and his David Copperfield-esque dissapearing act in the finals where it took him 4 games plus overtime to get an assist.
