A 5-11 195lb player (Richards) hits a 6ft 177lb player (Krejci) with a clean tex-book open ice hit and brakes his wrist , not the first time a player has been injured like that by a player that knows how to hit and wont be the last .
They reported he had surgery , a playing cast is not out of the question in a case like that , must have been a real clean break in order to have to do that , they said that pins have been inserted in his wrist , so one never knows he could be back if the Bruins advance to the next round ..

The article I read in the Globe this morning said he was looking at a 3-4 month recovery time. Unfortunately, I don't see David coming back this year, at all.

He didn't break his wrist. It was later corrected that he actually dislocated his wrist, which requires immediate surgery.
Quote:
Dr. George Kasparyan, director of hand surgery at Lahey Clinic, said a dislocated wrist usually requires immediate surgery. According to Kasparyan, there are three issues at play in the procedure: to restore blood flow to the bones in the wrist; to reduce pressure on the nerves of the wrist; and to relieve what is usually excruciating pain.

"By their nature, once a dislocation occurs, it almost always requires operative intervention to repair the ligaments of the wrist," Kasparyan said. "It's an injury of urgency."

That is real painful also , I have had the same injury , once you stretch the Ligaments you cant even hold a cup of coffee without spilling it , at first your hand and fingers swell up so bad you cant even close your hand , not a pleasant injury to have ..
I guess we can say any injury that sidelines you for months is not pleasant ..

Very Unfortunate for Boston.
Even with a Canadian team in the second round....I was hoping the B's would represent the East this year.

I still think even without Krejci they still got a legimate chance to come out of the East, especially if Rask and continue to play great.

As opposed to the new school Flyers fan with his RBK Edge jersey?
