Report: Krejci has broken wrist

David Krejci could be gone for the season if, as Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia reported, he suffered a fractured wrist when he was smoked by Mike Richards in the first period.

Krejci was injured seconds before Miroslav Satan scored at 5:45 of the period. Zdeno Chara had fished the puck off the left wall and sent an ill-advised suicide pass to Krejci in the middle of the ice. Just as Krejci looked down to take in the pass, Richards, who had been lurking in the neutral zone, exploded like a sprinter off the blocks.

“It was a clean hit,’’ said Bruins coach Claude Julien. “No issues there.’’

Hopefully, the Philly media is as bad as their hockey team.

Losing Krejci would be a huge blow to thie Bruins, going forward.

Welcome to the club. Hey, at least it happen a series later and you will be progressing to the ECF's. Put it this way, it gurantees Thorton a sport against what I am predicting the Pens. Should be fun to watch.

Wow, that's a big loss for the Bruins moving forward in the playoffs. However, I should hope they'll still be ok to close out this series without Krejci having a 3-0 lead.

This is a pretty big blow to the Bruins. I guess they will rely on Savard, Bergeron, Sobotka and Begin up the middle and maybe have Marchand/Whitfield replace Krejci (hopefully Marchand).

Also, Adam McQuaid is "very doubtful" for tomorrow night's game. If medically cleared, which will probably happen, Mark Stuart will replace him.
