I am very happy with this.

I am very unhappy it took so long. I hope he is not overpricing himself already.

Well Subban is by far their best and most complete defenseman. If Gorges is making 3.9, Subban deserves more really. He brings more to the table. Will this 3 year contract still leave him as an RFA at it's completion? If so than it's a good short deal and they can talk term and still have exclusive rights. Than they can sign him long term ala Pacioretty and Price.

I like what Bergevin has done so far, just wish he would have added some blueline muscle. He'll probably have to deal one of Diaz, Kaberle or "le jeune Veber" at some point. Maybe it will happen than.

I am a huge fan of Subban, however, I wonder if his head is just a little too big right now. Is he the best D on MTL? Probably, and certainly has the most upside to him. However, what Gorges brings to the blueline is just as good if not better than Subban at the moment.

As for Diaz & Weber, I'd trade them for a bucket of pucks. Honestly, two small guys I just don't think the team needs. Kaberle? Good luck trying to get a team to take him.

When the Habs are against the Bruins I hope to see another Subban Vs Marchand. Better too.

My guess is 3-years, $13.5 million.
