id certainly rather have redden than campbell, who is clearly more gifted offensively but is beyond soft and is downright brutal in his own zone. redden is decent in his own zone, is solid offensively, and fights twice a year which is more than can be said for campbell. obviously he is not worth 6.5 mill a year but in this day and age everyone is f*cking overpaid. I mean if you look at some of these contracts they are outrageous.
Jeff Finger-3.5 mill a year (wat the f*ck was toronto thinking)
Michael Ryder- 4 mill a year for a guy who scored 13 goals last year
campbell-7.1 mill a year
sean avery-4 mill a year (I love him and I wouldve given him 4 mill to stay in new york but the fact is he is very overpaid)
the list just goes on and on so i dont think sather can be faulted. its the market and theres nothign sather can do about it. the way this is going theres going to be another lockout.

HellYeah, I'd rather have Redden. We might get a good fight or 2 out of our Dmen next season as a bonus with him.

I really dislike what Avery did to us. I mean, OK u dislike Sather and he treated u like shyt with arbitration last year. But, SO WHAT! That's his job & Alot of players hate their GM's. That doesn't mean turn your back on the team and the city that embraced u like we did. I don't recall a Ranger becoming such a rapid fan favorite like he did. Shows how selfish he is and it appears he is all about having EVERYONE hate him.

I guess you never saw Nicky Fotiu. The Garden buzzed everytime he hit the ice and what a fan favorite.

He might be a solid defencemen if he can get away from his vices. I think that's what screwed him up the past couple of seasons.

There any coke in New York City?

Yeah ole Tahir was great for sure. I remember when he was acquired and there wasn't much press about it and I looked at his numbers(penalty minutes) and was like "Yahoo" knowing what that meant.
One of my all-time favorite Ranger lines was Kerr centering Kocur and Domi. Sort of like Duguay centering Fotiu and Hospodar at the end of games under Craig Patrick in 1981!
I was so sad when they dealt Tie and Kinger for that coc*sucker Ed Olczyk who did dick but talk a good game! I knew goddamn well his ass would be glued to the bench with Iron Mike Keenan!

I picked them up when Nichols, Mallette, King, Cirella, Graves, Beuk and who could forget Per Joos were playing in the Garden. VBK, Richter what a tandem
