Great, so the Rangers get tougher while Hartford gets weaker.

Love it for the NHL side, not so much for the AHL side.

Good for Liffiton,
having him, Orr, Avery,Hollweg, and also Mara,Shanhan who can drop them is decent.

The Devils for example give toughness away ( Voros,Hale)..

David Hale will give you less than 5 fights a season, and with Janssen, Rupp, LaCouture and Marshall ahead of him on the depth chart, Voros wasn't about to get called up any time soon. Nice move by the Rangers and good for Liffiton, but I don't see what this has to do with the Devils?

very nice,
I knew they were going to call up some guys since recent injujuries, Hossa being the lastest, but I didn't expect them to call up a D-man, and I thought they would recall either Callahan or Dawes.Wonder whose gunna get the shaft on the D-men end, my guess is Malik

What a drastic makeover this team has overgone. From an almost unwatchable brand of hockey at times this season to one of the most exciting teams to watch.

excellent, surprising as shi* call ups for the Rags, especially Liff. Hopefully they'll both be in the lineup tomorrow and for the rest of the season. Maybe they're finally getting the point about being too f'ing soft.

Don't worry the mighty Hugh Jessiman is back from Charlotte! What a waste of a 1st round pick!

As much as I'd love to see him get a real chance, I don't even think Liffiton will get a chance to play. He's just up for insurance in case Mara (who suffered a shoulder injury) can't play on Thursday.

If it was me, I'd definitely play Liffiton regardless and sit Tomas Pock, who is useless. But I doubt it will happen.

According to Weinman's blog, Mara is expected to play and based on the defensive pairings in practice, it appears that Liffiton will be scratched for the Islander game tomorrow.
