Raffi Torres Fined $2,500 for Elbow on Jan Hejda
 

NEW YORK – Phoenix Coyotes forward Raffi Torres has been fined $2,500, the maximum allowed under the Collective Bargaining Agreement, for elbowing Colorado Avalanche defenseman Jan Hejda in NHL Game No. 549 in Denver on Thursday, Dec. 29, the National Hockey League’s Department of Player Safety announced today.

The incident occurred at 18:22 of the second period. No penalty was assessed on the play.

The fine money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.

2 minute penalty.

When I read the headline I thought it was the Boston incident for sure...

How did they not suspend him for two incidents in a week?

The idiot Torres did it again.....3 this week. Has a hearing on Monday. they should toss him for being so arrogant and stupid....then tack on the infractions. He got 4 games last year and a fine this week...he should get another 4-6 games.
