Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has signed amateur free-agent forward
Ian McKenzie.
McKenzie, 20 (5/23/87), spent the last four full seasons in Western Hockey League playing 228 games with the
Moose Jaw Warriors (2004-07) and the
Seattle Thunderbirds (2007-08). In 2007-08 with Seattle, the Weyburn, Sask., native nearly doubled his career high in points, registering 19 goals and 21 assists to go along with 103 penalty minutes in 68 games. The 6-4, 222-pound right wing also led the Thunderbirds in playoff scoring with 14 points (8g-6a) in 12 games.
