Nashville Predators Executive Vice President/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled defenseman
Kevin Klein from the
Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League. The club has also acquired forward
Chris Durno from the
Anaheim Ducks for forward
Shane Endicott.
Klein, 22 (12/13/84), has 14 points (4g-10a) and 45 penalty minutes in 44 games with Milwaukee this season. The 6-1, 195-pound defenseman has appeared in one game with Nashville this season and skated in two contests with the Predators in 2005-06. The Kitchener, Ont. native led Admirals’ defensemen in scoring (10g-33a-43pt) and ranked 13th among AHL backliners in points last season. Klein was originally Nashville’s third choice, 37th overall (second round), in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft.

Marek Zidlicky on injured reserve.
Durno, 26 (10/31/80), has posted seven points (5g-2a) and 63 penalty minutes this season in 34 games with Portland and Norfolk of the American Hockey League. The 6-3, 219-pound forward registered 40 points (20g-20a) in 57 regular-season games and four points (2g-2a) in 21 playoff contests with Milwaukee last season. The Scarborough, Ont. native registered 124 points (52g-72a) in 147 games with Gwinnett of the ECHL from 2003-05 and racked up 48 points (22g-26a) in 130 games during a four-year college career at Michigan Tech from 1999-2003.
