Alexandre Daigle, the first overall pick in the 1993 draft, has joined Langnau in Switzerland.
Quote:
Davos has wanted to get rid of Alexandre Daigle since the spring. Nu har man äntligen hittat en ny klubbadress för den tidigare supertalangen som skickas till Langnau i utbyte mot österrikiske stjärnan Oliver Setzinger. Now it has finally found a new club address for the previous super-talent that is sent to Langnau in exchange for the Austrian star Oliver Setzinger.

Daigle har haft svårt att ta plats i Davos under säsongen och har bara spelat fyra matcher och bland annat fått sitta på läktaren till förmån för Johannes Salmonsson, som fortfarande bara är i klubben på korttidsbasis. Daigle has been difficult to take place in Davos during the season and has only played four matches and, among other things, had to sit in the stands in favor of John Salmonsson, which is still only in the club, short-term.

Rumour from only one Russian hockey forum that Vityaz signs or will sign next week one player from North America. His name is unknown but there are some details about him - has NHL experience, play in AHL this season, Verot-like gamestyle and was beaten by Ray Emery some years ago. I think about Josh Gratton but AFAIK he's under contract wath Atlanta.

Gratton is the only one it could be if that description is accurate, Emery has also fought Hamel, Skrlac, Peluso, Peters and Peter Ferraro but none of them fit the description. I wouldn't doubt that Gratton is sick of not getting a legit shot to stay in the NHL and is ready to go make some cash in Russia.

Isn't the idea to have some of the other KHL teams sign tough guys, so at least that way Chris Simon has someone to actually fight?
