The deal is for a conditional pick, the Isles get a 5th rounder, but if the Pens make the playoffs then they get a 4th rounder instead, and if the Pens win a round then the Isles get a 3rd rounder instead.

So it looks like the Isles will most likely end up with a 4th rounder, good trade by the Pens. Apparently Sid and Guerin are friends too.

I don't care for Guerin, but since we got him for little more than an order of Mellon Arena nachos, I'm stoked. No way it can hurt.

Assuming no more moves:

Kunitz-Crosby-Guerin
Fedotenko-Malkin-Sykora
Cooke-Staal-Kennedy


Much better (at least deeper) than they were.

EDIT: Staal and Tyler Kennedy, anyone? LoL

Seems like a nice trade for Pittsburgh. Comes at a fairly low price IMO.

I think its going to help to have a solid verteran presence in the locker room. It also adds abit of grit too now the Pens don't look as soft with Adams and Guerin in the lineup.
