Penguins Trade Eric Tangradi to Jets
 

The Pittsburgh Penguins have acquired a 2013 seventh-round draft pick from the Winnipeg Jets in exchange for Eric Tangradi, it was announced by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero.

Only a 7th rounder??? I know he has been a big disappointment but he is still young and has great size. I can't believe that is all they could get for him, I mean the corpse of Matthew Lombardi was traded for a 3rd round pick. How is Tangradi not worth at least as much as him?

I was thinking maybe the Pens would maybe package him into a deal to sweeten the pot so to speak to get what they want and need.Obviously that's not going to happen.

Yeah, it's disappointing how he has developed (him and Keven Veilleux). But, I think trading him for a 7th round draft pick was a stupid move. I think we could have gotten more, and power-forwards usually take more time to develop.

Well they missed their shot at getting more for him when teams were inquiring about him last year,and Shero was reluctant to trade him at the time.He really hasn't panned out like they had hoped.

Actually the Pens are 1 forward short with reese being sent down and tangradi being traded.Wonder who's going to get the call up...Wouldn't be surprised if it's Kostopolous

damn only a 7th rounder? i thought this guy had big hopes. he needs to change teams to grow. good deal for jets. i always felt like the Pens had something against him.
