Asham and Orpik coming back sparked this move. Hutch was alright, Tangradi looked like I figured he would a bit out of place at times and unable to bring everything together. He still needs another year in the AHL, it will greatly benefit him. Really think he will fit in much better next season.

EDIT: Oops, meant to say Michalek.

Michalek is in relation to Hutchinson. I dont think anyone will get demoted when Staal comes back more or less will be a rotation for that 12th forward spot. Proably between Adams/TK/Godard.

Not really sure. He seems to have outplayed Lovejoy, but it is a pretty even matchup. Lovejoy has done well too.

Michalek is out for 2 more weeks, so Hutchinson got sent down because of Orpik being back. Lovejoy and Engelland will both play until Z comes back, then they may rotate in and out of the lineup as the 6th defenseman. Personally, I'd rather Engelland be in the lineup every night.

Now, if they can only try to get a bag of pucks for Craig Adams...

I know Tangradi s classed as a power forward but does he drop the gloves? And how does he do when he does

He will if needs to. He had a wonderful bull like mentality with Bellvue, but since then he seems a bit skidish at times. However in the AHL I am unsure if he dropped them at all. He was recovering from wrist surgery last year.

He doesn't drop the gloves often, and from what I can see, isn't all that great at it. Hopefully he improves in that area as he develops - kid's only 21, after all.

I was thinking he doesn't fight much because of his hand injury.

I can't see how the Pens would send down Engelland or even rotate Engelland/Lovejoy.Lovejoy has done well, but I'm to thinkin that Engelland has gotten much better since the beginning of the season.I thought he played really good in the past two road games.Plus he obviously brings the toughness part that the blueline has solely lacked.Something that we have all criticized at one point or another. And as much as I hate to say it.It gives Bylsma the luxury of not having to dress Godard, and in reality shorten his bench when Godard plays 2 minutes a game.Asham,Rupp, and Engelland.Three pretty tough guys that I think can handle things if the going gets tough....

sending those two guys down and addingthese two is going to make them by far the toughest hockey team in awhile.

Eric Godard
Deryk Engelland
Mike Rupp
Arron Asham
and I guess Orpik and Adams and cooke (might not be tough fighters but play tough/annoying)

Get rid of Godard....keep engelland in......there is enough toughness

with Rupp , Asham and Engelland.........I hate to admit it but no roster

spot for Godard...keep Lovejoy for a 6th defenseman......

You know, I keep hearing this from the bandwagon fans around here (not calling you one). There is ALWAYS room for a guy like Godard on the team, and under no circumstances should the Pens get rid of him. I don't care how much he plays or how little he's used - I want a nuclear deterrent on the team. And when Michalek is healthy, Lovejoy may be sitting in the press box if the team decides to do with Engelland as the 6th defenseman.

Yeah i see your point and you are right about Lovejoy sitting in the pressbox ,

but they have to make a roster move when Jordan S. comes back and

i hate to say it because i like Godard but what other move can they make

( personally id like to see tyler kennedy sit )
