Penguins Recall Steve MacIntyre
The Pittsburgh Penguins have recalled forward Steve MacIntyre from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League, it was announced by executive vice president and general manager Ray Shero.

MacIntyre, 31, has appeared in 11 NHL games this season after signing with the Penguins as a free agent on July 12. The Brock, Sask. native was re-assigned to WBS on Jan. 25.

The 6-foot-5, 250-pound MacIntyre has appeared in 89 career NHL games with Edmonton, Florida and Pittsburgh, tallying four points (2G-2A) and 161 penalty minutes.

Actually I'm interested in what Lavi might do..Will he call another tough guy up???I can honsetly say that I don't know anything about the Flyers minor league affiliate..Or does he go with who he has.Dress Shelley,and let the chips fall where they may...

Though does anyone think that maybe Bylsma is a little tired of all this crap going on in the media that this is also a reason he called up Mac???

well they have mathers, but he has an ahl contract so i dont think he can be called up. As far as toughness goes the best the flyers have to offer in the minor leagues is matt walker, and im not even sure if hes even healthy

Calling up Walker would mean squeezing whatever pro-rated chunk of his $1.7M is left, not sure if they have the cap space.

Other than him, Ben Holmstrom could be added as another willing guy but there's nobody in Big Mac's league waiting in the wings.

thats if he even plays. like wadduban said i think hes waiting to see what lavy does. Flyers recalled harry z today, and if i know lavy he will sit shelley and play harry z. If they do that i doubt big mac dresses
