Like cowboy said Malone played mostly wing his rookie season,I like him better at wing but pens want him to be a center. Im sure his faceoffs will improve with work.CP better get orpik inked, i hear he isnt a fan of his.

Do the Pens have a single good faceoff guy on the list?
It seems there's a shedload of scoring options, mostly off the wings, at least 2 lines worth. But who or what are they putting in between 'em? They seem to lack, and stop me if I'm way off base here, that miscellaneous Jan Hrdina-type, who is at least a moderate 2-way player and good draw man. I'm basing this on rumour and heresay, of course, but do the Pens have the right mix of skills to do each job on the ice and be truly effective? |

Oh, and *YAY* for signing Malone. Good to keep a young, local, talented kid who did the hard yards with no support last year. That experience will make him a seriously dangerous second- or third-line scoring threat. Not small, either.
