Adams just stepped up and protected his captain his teams best player his teams franchise player the teams face. I have no issues with what Adams did and his one game suspension is fair based on the rules in place. Adams is a stand up guy who will drop the gloves to come to the aid of a teammate or spark his team even thou he is a terrible fighter. He's been known to standup in the dressing room and speak up when things arn't always going smooth. He does not have the greatest hockey skills but he does battle hard. He can throw the body too but he's not the biggest 4th liner and has very limited offensive skills but is above average at defensive aspects to the game. He kind of reminds me of a Ian Lappierre type player expect with less offensive skills. Often guys like Craig Adams are often under appreciated by there fan base because they don't score much and don't always see much ice time.

Sour grapes over what?I've already acknowleged in another thread that the Pens are getting their a$$es handed to them in this series.I can except it..It has zero bearing on my life..I think that there are some sour grapes on some Flyer fans part because the Pens took it to them,instigated everything,and yes were cheap and dirty.And all the Broad Street Bully crap and tough Flyer hockey blah blah blah..They did nothing but let the PP be their enforcer.Be that as it may.These aren't your daddy's tough Flyer teams of the past anymore..

As far as my comment to DevsFan..I was stating the obvious.His post seemed to side with the Pens on this.Which automatically sets him up to lambasted by most everyone on here who doesn't think without their homer and hatemonger glasses on pure and simple...Even though I disagree with him.It was an instigator period..

Adams had his gloves off and threw FOUR punches to Hartnell while he covered up and turned his back to Adams. Adams was IN NO WAY involved in the initial altercation with Crosby. He came over and began throwing without any provocation from SH whatsoever.

Hartnell then bolted to get away, get his gloves off and potentially square off.

How in God's holy and precious name is that not the DEFINITION of an instigator penalty?

Because... People hate the flyers blindly.
