Penguins Assign Leclair to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton
PITTSBURGH – The Pittsburgh Penguins have assigned forward John LeClair to their American Hockey League affiliate, the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins, it was announced Saturday by General Manager Ray Shero.
LeClair, 37, has appeared in 21 games this season with the Penguins. He recorded two goals, five assists and 12 penalty minutes. LeClair has played 967 NHL games throughout 17 seasons. He has 819 points, including 406 goals and 413 assists. LeClair has 65 game-winning goals and 118 power-play goals. |

Time for Big John to retire. I cant see how a guy of his caliber is content with being in the "A". I'd deffinately rather see him retire, than see "Pens call up John Leclair" as a thread name.

The Devils have no cap room or use for a slow footed 37 year old. The Pens should try to send him where he can be a help to a young team looking for some leadership, he's not the force he once was, but he can still bring alot of character and chip in once in awhile.

Im with you man! The damn salary cap is putting a black mark beside some GREAT NHL careers. First Mogilny and now Leclair.
