That sucks. I'll always remember the way he used to play back with Philly, was always a force.

plenty of teams could afford him and use him. Cant believe a guy like LeClair passed through waivers, while teams like chicago or New Jersey cant score a goal to save their life.

Time for Big John to retire. I cant see how a guy of his caliber is content with being in the "A". I'd deffinately rather see him retire, than see "Pens call up John Leclair" as a thread name.

It's disappointing. I wish he would have retired. Andreychuk and Hull faced the same thing last year and both retired instead of getting optioned. He just does not have the speed to play in the league any more.

The rumor from the NY Post is the Blackhawks might pick him up on re-entry waivers.

The Devils have no cap room or use for a slow footed 37 year old. The Pens should try to send him where he can be a help to a young team looking for some leadership, he's not the force he once was, but he can still bring alot of character and chip in once in awhile.

Im with you man! The damn salary cap is putting a black mark beside some GREAT NHL careers. First Mogilny and now Leclair.
