Panthers Sign J.F. Jacques
SUNRISE – Florida Panthers Executive VP & General Manager Dale Tallon announced today that the club has agreed to terms with LW Jean-Francois Jacques on a one-year, two-way contract.
“Jacques is a big and physical player with NHL experience that we are happy to have signed,” said Tallon. “He is a hard working and tough to play against forward that adds further depth to our club.” Jacques, 27, has played in 166 National Hockey League games for Edmonton (2005-2011) and Anaheim (2011-12) registering 17 points (9-8-17) and 197 PIM. The 6-foot-3, 230-pound forward played in six scoreless games for the Ducks last season, while also appearing in 65 contests for Syracuse (American Hockey League) scoring 21 goals with 19 assists. The Montreal, PQ native has played in 215 AHL games scoring 68 goals with 75 assists and 375 PIM. Jacques was originally drafted by Edmonton in the second round (68th overall) in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. Last edited by chilly666; 07-05-2012 at 04:18 PM. |
