Stortini isn't going to fight Ivanas. Tommy K maybe. I bet he will be used again as agitator.

Nice to see Storts get the call again! Stortini looked great in his debut against Calgary and he tried to get Godard to go late in the third but he ended up receiving a misconduct which ruined all hope we had.

PsuNate1977 - You'll see Stortini go for Ivanans before Avery. He'll be looking to make an impact with the big club and he is a tough kid.

He'll go someone tonight...

He tried Godard... He tried Hamrlik.... He tried Phaneuf... I thought for sure he was going to clock the linesman holding him for NO REASON during a scrum and then giving him a 10...

If he wants to make the NHL - he's going to have to prove he can play 5 minutes of good hockey a night and swing with the heavies... He's not stupid...

He got eaten by Godard in the pre-season... he has to prove himself, and turning down Ivanans won't help that reputation...

I heard that MacT specifically told him NOT to fight Godard though... I'm a bit worried that MacT sees him as a deterrant, but doesn't want him fighting unless he has to...

I guess we'll see.

Good character? Have you met Boots? He's not the only criminal NHL owner... What has this league become...

This is good news.

Stortini got called up, King got called up, Barch is up, and Godard got called up too. This is a good week in the NHL so far!

I'm expecting Stortini to go with Ivanans tonight. Stortini has to prove himself, and like OilersHockey said, turning down Ivanans won't help his case one bit. He has to fight, because that's his job. Ivanans vs. Stortini would be a good HW fight tonight, and I hope they go at it. There is a possibility that we could see quite a few good HW fights tonight. And everyone, just ignore PsuNancy. He doesn't know crap - he only THINKS he does.

For you guys who don't think he will fight Ivanans.
If he is to drop the gloves, Ivanans should be his most likely partner in crime.
Avery and Kostopolous are out of his weight class. They are light/middle weights.

Actually... they won't...

Ivanans isn't dressed...

So now, for once, the Oilers will have the heavy running around and answering to no one.... Is Sean Avery going to keep Stortini in check? I don't think so...

I was SO looking forward to Stortini getting his first regular season bout in tonight...

Yep, that's the only way they won't go, that Ivanans is scratched.
