Steve Tambellini announced today the
Edmonton Oilers have recalled defenceman
Taylor Chorney and assigned defenceman
Jeff Petry to Oklahoma City of the American Hockey League.
Chorney, 23, has played in 46 games with the Barons this year collecting 16 points (3G,13A) and 22 penalty minutes. The 6’0”, 182-pound Thunder Bay, Ontario native has also appeared in six games for the Oilers this season recording two assists. In 50 career NHL games, Chorney has five assists and 14 penalty minutes.
Petry, 23, has played in 21 games with the Oilers this season recording three points (1G,2A). The 6’3”, 196-pound Ann Arbor, Michigan native was originally recalled on December 27 after playing in 32 games with Oklahoma City scoring seven goals and adding 14 assists for 21 points.
