Oilers Reassign Stortini to Hamilton
The Edmonton Oilers have assigned forward Zack Stortini to the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League.
Stortini, who was recalled from Hamilton on January 19th, made his NHL debut with the Oilers in Edmonton’s 4-0 loss versus Calgary at Rexall Place on January 20th. Stortini was scoreless and –1 with 10 penalty minutes in his Oilers debut. The 6’3”, 215-pound native of Elliot Lake, Ontario has scored 9-6-15 with 172 PIM and is +1 in 42 games with Hamilton this season. He was 12th on the Bulldogs scoring list and led the AHL in penalty minutes at the time of his recall. Three of his nine goals were scored on the powerplay. |

As was the case with Godard being sent back to Omaha, Stortini and King were most likely sent down for the AS break only.
