Oilers Place Moreau on Injured Reserve
The Edmonton Oilers have placed assistant captain Ethan Moreau on the NHL Injured Reserve List.
Moreau suffered a dislocated right shoulder in the Oilers 3-1 win versus the Detroit Red Wings on Saturday, October 21st and did not dress for the Oilers’ 5-2 win over the Phoenix Coyotes last night. Moreau had scored 1-0-1 with 12 penalty minutes and was averaging 15:08 minutes of ice time in seven games prior to the injury.

Mikhnov is no Ethan Moreau. The Oilers will have to find another way to bring energy when they're struggling to get their feet moving... Moreau's been GREAT this year IMO.

Good character? Have you met Boots? He's not the only criminal NHL owner... What has this league become... |

Looks bad for Ethan. On TSN they said he might need surgery and it might be season ending, apparently there's concern about his labrum being torn. He's such a scrappy player and a good leader on the Oilers. He was a wonderful Blackhawk, till you Edmonton fleeced him away for Boris Mironov. At least Edmonton has depth and Moreau can be replaced.
