Oilers Claim Ryan Jones Off Waivers
General Manager Steve Tambellini announced today the Edmonton Oilers have claimed forward Ryan Jones off waivers from the Nashville Predators.
Jones, 25, played 41 games with the Predators this season recording seven goals and four assists. Last year the Chatham, Ontario native appeared in 46 games with Nashville collecting seven goals and 10 assists. Jones was selected in the 4th round, 111th overall, by the Minnesota Wild in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. He played four seasons with Miami University where he scored 90 goals and 57 assists for 147 points in 161 games. |

Great effort guy. Was finding his niche in front of the net in Milwaukee and then got the callup to Nashville and it never translated to the NHL level for whatever reason. Good Luck Jonesy. |
