Rechlicz was playing for Hershey on an AHL contract. He could play for the Caps unless they signed him to an NHL contract, which they did. Why the hell they would sign him to play against Tampa and Florida and then waive him when they're getting ready to play Boston is rediculous.

King hasn't done crap fight wise since he's been in Hershey. In fact doesn't really show any interest in fighting.

Hopefully Rechlicz doesn't get claimed so I can continue to enjoy watching him in Hershey.

The Rechlicz situation was purely political. I think McPhee was playing it safe with NHL brass. There was a report on CSN Washington that the Wrecker had made some bad comments to the press after practice on Thursday. His answer to the local media about the Bourque situation, went something along the lines of "putting him through the glass if thats what it takes to make him fight me". That may not be the official quote but its very close. I personally love the kid and what he has the potential to bring to his team. Hes old school. and a little insane. I dont know if those 2 games in Florida were a tryout, but the fact Tampa has no heavys and Barch dodged him shouldnt have sealed his fate. Especially with some of the teams they have next on there schedule.

Thanks(and to Chilly) for reminding me that Rechlicz was already in Hershey. Guess I'm getting old and forgetful.

Anthony Stewart would be an Excellent pick up for the Canadiens, plus they can throw that useless plug Mathieu Darche in the press box.... Stewart is 6,3 and 230lbs, plus he is from Lasalle Quebec, witch is a subburb of Montreal, so the peppers will be happy.... with the imminent loss of Travis Moen coming, Anthony Stewart can fill in with his size...

The Habs should take a serious run at Parise, he would be a perfect fit in Montreal. Stewart would be a great addition as well.

If Parise goes to market, expect him to be looking at the 7 million dollar mark, I really don't think Lou is going to let him go to market, but I don't see Montreal being a player on him.....

Didn't Montreal spend that much on Gomez 3 yrs. ago? If so, then Parise would be a bargain in today's money, just saying.

they got him in a trade...though with the other stupid contracts the habs have, parise is unlikely to fit cap wise for the habs.

Is'nt Stewart from Toronto? Thought he was. Anyway he would be a good fit for Montreal. Big body, plays soft and has no other discernible skills. Chris Stewart would be better if he was available.
