Rumors say it's Vincent Damphousse.

I wouldn't have a problem with that. Each times he was on RDS, he argued to keep fighting in the game and he argued for the Habs to be able to respond to tougher teams.

And I hope that Bob Gainey is fired also.

Talk about your long overdue GM changes. Gauthier has been treading water all season and throwing people under the bus left and right to keep his job for another few weeks. It's about time he was removed from his post.

Pierre McGuire could use a job.

Doesn't get any more French than Pierre.

Damphousse once said on antichambre that he doesn't like enforcers today. Plus I think experience matters here.

Finally... Should of been done after the Spacek trade. He has to be the 2nd worst Canadiens GM in history.

What's with the clown face? They're actually taking their time and taking their due dilligence in selecting a new gm, rather then hiring any scrub right off the line. That's the way this needs to be done this time.

I think the writting is on the wall, If Serge Savard is the advisior, I would put my money on it that Patrick Roy is going to be the GM of the Canadiens, Roy had already told the Quebec Ramparts that he would not be back next year, and we all know how tight of a relationship Roy and Savard had.. Plus I can see Bob Hartley being named the next coach, because of his ties with Patrick Roy in Colorado.. I think the Canadiens already know what they want to do, but they are giving Roy the time to finish with his obligations with the Rampart..

If Roy and Savard are the men for the job a good solid clean-up is desperatly needed, I think the Randy's should both be sent back to Hamilton and Clement Jodoin should be sent packing, I think the Randy's know what it takes to develop young players, and it would be beneficial for the Canadiens to have them back in the minors... Kaberle, Gomez, Plekanec, Campoli and Gionta all have to go, make room for the younger players that are coming up....

Please let it be Pierre Mcguire just so we never have to see him begtween the benches again. No more cock sucking in his interviews. Plus he'll **** up just as much as Gauthier.

Gauthier could get a GM job with the Leafs, Burke is pretty much useless there.

So who's gonna get the job?

Some Brisebois is the front runner, and Pierre McGuire is second!!!!!!(God, I hope he gets it so I don't have to hear where EVERY player is from and where he played junior and what his favourite kind of cereal is and how often certain players have bowel movements and.......) oh, and Roy is in there too.

Didn't Partick Roy leave Montreal on bad terms? Does he still have a connection with the team?
