Eh.

The thing that pisses me off the most is I don't think these two play each other again this year. I really would've liked to have seen O'Brien beat Avery to death on the ice.

Yeah, a full-on brawl would have been good...maybe Burrows and Avery could have battled it out to the death for the league's biggest douche award...O'Brien loses a game's pay but from the Canuck perspective their chances of winning that game went up exponentially.

No, they don't - I miss the old days where everyone played each other at least twice, home and away. Its impossible to start a rivalry with a team in another conference these days, and this could have been the start of something good, but by the time they meet again it will probably be all forgotten.

Pretty much a no-brainer regarding the suspension. The fact that SOB came all the way down from the side of the bench to get into it with Avery pretty much assured he's miss a game or two.

Funny thing, I don't think Avery got another shift after the jousting incident.

That whole thing should have turned into a giant brawl. I love the way Kesler gets into it while he is surrounded by the whole Ranger team.

I don't think there should've been a suspension here. A game misc.(the rest of that game only), and a fine would've been enough.

Its too bad the wrong guys were on the ice at the time, or things would've got really good. With O'Brien, Rypien, Hordichuk for Van. they could have made things a lot more exciting.

Can't wait to see Avery and Phaneuf on Saturday night!!

I'm fine with this suspension. An obvious rule was broken and it involved stick work. Good job by the NHL (can't believe I said that).

In terms of the suspension, fitting I suppose. But in terms of who it happened to and the context of the situation? I'm not crying about it, Avery is a prick that could use a taste of his own medicine. By the way, feel free to fight fair there Rangers. How many guys do you really need to take KESLER of all people? 4? 5? 6? The Rags had half the roster after him. Nice move guys.

I thought last year this was changed again where each team played each other twice. I felt lucky getting to see an AVS game in Tampa every year, where before I would see them once every two years. Ohh well, guess I got lucky.

I have no desire to see stick work of any kind in the game, I agree with the suspension as stupid and harmless as the incident was.
