Niklas Hjalmarsson Suspended for Two Games
 
TORONTO - Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Niklas Hjalmarsson has been suspended for two games and will forfeit $37,634.40 in salary for delivering a hit from behind that caused injury to Jason Pominville of the Buffalo Sabres in NHL game #30, October 11, the National Hockey League announced today.

Hjalmarsson's fine is based on his average annual salary and is calculated under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.

The incident occurred at 14:18 of the first period and Hjalmarsson was assessed a major penalty for boarding and a game misconduct.

Hjalmarsson will miss games against Nashville tonight and at Columbus Friday. He is eligible to return Saturday against Buffalo.

Holy sh*t, I was sure if they had 2 in mind they would bump it up to 3 just to keep him out of Saturdays rematch with Buffalo. That game will be one to watch now, especially considering that vagina Kaleta has already hinted at retribution:

Really though, Wiz should appeal his suspension for sure, This is a ****ing joke.
Campbell needs to be held accountable here... If a player isn't playing as well as he should he gets scratched, demoted, traded, or bought out. If a coach's team isn't performing to a certain level, that coach likely gets fired. With every job if you show yourself to be completely incompetent, you are let go.... This mother****er needs to go!

He should...he has actually played in all of our first three games. I think coach Q finds him more useful than Hendry, and I agree completely :D
