NHL Suspends San Jose's Nichol for Four Games
TORONTO – San Jose Sharks forward Scott Nichol has been suspended for four games and will forfeit $16,344.08 in salary for delivering a blow to the head of Phoenix Coyotes defenseman David Schlemko in NHL game #679 yesterday, the National Hockey League announced today.
Nichol’s fine is based on his average annual salary and is calculated under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement. The money goes to the Players’ Emergency Assistance Fund. The incident occurred at 9:18 of the third period. No penalty was assessed on the play. Schlemko was injured on the play and did not return in the game. Nichol will be eligible to return Feb. 2 at Anaheim. |

Didn't catch this either. It's most likely bull**** though. Just like every other suspension this year.

Didn't look that bad to me. Having 6 prior suspensions probably didn't help Nichol any.

Eh, wasn't terrible but worth suspension.
